MARK NAZEMI:

GRAND annual report: done

ACADEMIC CV schedule time w/DGr; revise citations so they are academically perfect, refer to DGr's to ID which demos and things should be added

add info of lastest accomplishements for Pain Lab's annual report

Scoliosis waiting for Focus Group date

MF sound files:get feedback from DGr & GR done; updated added 5 sounds; met w/GR to listen in the MF env.(exp.changes, wind fluctuations too freq.; too much panning, flying sausages; figure out threshold for crisp upper level sounds)

Blogsite: add info re: VC wins (will end up on the new website soon)

XIN TONG: [updated Jan/29/2015 by Xin][updated Jan30 by DGr]

Teach Ashfaq subtle art of friendly reminders/managing-up DGr (DGr's req.)

Thesis - FitPet - Ethics Application Study description, consent form, interview scripts & questionnaires done. Need DGr's Feedback. SPIE Conference Paper - Deadline Jan 30

   Slides & Presentation for the conference
   Paper: Updated to version 6, need DGr's comments, feedback and edits.

SPIE Demo Preparation

   Computer - Alienware: Xin will take it with her in her CARRY-ON luggage, need a proof letter from Diane for the US Customs OK
                          Question: I should also take the keyboard, mouse, and VGA/HDMI data cable and power cable with me, right? RIGHT.
                          Question: can I check in one luggage? Not sure if the machine could fit into the carry-on size. ALWAYS take computers & HMDs on carry-on (I have several if it doesn't fit in yours). Everything else (cables, power, kayboard, mouse) can go in check-in luggage. HOWEVER, the airport people need whatever device you have to boot up (or have a light turn on) to prove it works, esp for non-typical machines or electronics.

   Display: Diane, we will borrow form Ari, right? RIGHT!
   Oculus Rift DK2.2: Xin could take it with her in her luggage, need a proof letter from Diane for the US Customs
                          Question: However, if the new one could not arrive before I leave, what should we do? NOTHING. We just need the newer version in SF for Jul IF the one G1 took doesn't work. Jul said it did work tho, so . . .
   Demo Unity software files: need the version that Diane wants to demo from Gill or Cheryl and Amber, which need to be attached and could work with the Oculus DK2's SDK.
   Postcards: how many do you want for each? (VMW, MF, Chronic Weather) However many we can get for $300. Maybe MM can help? She's gifted that way! Be sure you have Mark or Chantal read the revision to ensure we didn't forget info, don't have typos, etc. We CANNOT afford mistakes w/VC & the media.
      Question: do you want to make any changes or edits for the postcards? Marked up versions r on yr desk.DGr Also, which funding it would be from.NSERC (I'll email Lisa) -- it is runing low, but we're expecteding CIHR $ soon.

Affective Cloud INSTALLATION submitted to SIGGRAPH Art Paper. Send to ISEA? No. Can discuss issues FTF or via Skype. Also, we should submit it to city art projects -- would make a good public art installation!

SCOLIOSIS Demos in Dec 16th. ADD the 2 DEMOS TO YOUR CV.DGr Next? I SENT DR.L UPDATES Jan.28, so we're waiting to schedule the Focus Group. Need to meet to discuss just-in-case options.DGr

BIBS/Embodiment Cognition Literature Review with DGr papers searched/printed, need time to go over each of them. Schedule full day the Friday we are back unless we have something scheduled w/Dr.L.

Paper submission

1) HCI International: VMW Full paper deadline Feb 15; Make sure the titles aren't the same. What's the emphasis on this one? 2) HCI International: Chronic Weather Full Paper deadline Feb 15; OMG! Schedule time at our SF office to sketch out content for each. 3) Design Principles & Practices: abstract accepted, submit a journal paper? deadline Feb 15; Yes. Journal name? Deadline is for what? 4) VMW HMD study: submit to a journal paper when finished? absolutely; also need to ID approp. method for Dimple's notes. B sure 2 include Ashfaq in one of the study dates so he can meet Sasha & observe in waiting room. He can ask Dr.RW & others (Kate?) re: approp. method.

CFI new equipment

w/Lisa, check-in equipment when it arrives; make a list of any boxes we need to get to house new devices IF they do not come with one;

w/Ashfaq, transfer info sheet (packaging list of what's in the box) & any info to Ash;

w/Lisa & Ashfaq: test tagging one device & its associated parts; would color coding (w/electrical tape or other ideas) help (just for freq. used, expensive or complicated devices)?

Most often, the focus or some aspects re: the project are covered in diff. versions.
